Querido Tom 11
Rio, domingo, noite.
Querido Tom,
Meu profile:
"Tall. Underweight. Brown hair, brown eyes. Not too much hairy. Rather thin legs, a photography lover; many different things to learn and do as possible are welcomed, including the Arabic language. A piano student, who loves Chopin and Bach. A passion for the British Isles, inexplicable. Preferred character: the Cheshire Cat. Purple, to choose a color; cat, an animal. Also, a stripes lover.
Chess playing, when there is company."
E meu primeiro post em "Introducing ourselves":
"Hi there, people, I'm Caio (you may call me Cesar, Cainho, Caíto, Kiebitz, whatever), as you all know, I'm 19, completed the last 27th January. A mere student of the “Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro”, and a intern at the same institution's Ouvidoria, similar to those things called Ombudsmen in English. I also write some kind of diary in a blog, with hopes of having them published when I’m famous.
I've been studying English for a non-accounted time, as I can't remember exactly where begins my life without English. As I prefer not to count those silly things taught at school, my start occurred when I first enrolled to an English course when I was probably 12, but that doesn't really matter; at first, it was Fisk, but then, for better, or worse (it depends on the time you would ask me), I went to learn at CCAA. There, I daresay, was my center of stage. There was no shyness anymore; all, including the teacher, became my audience. While the others used Portuguese as a major communication language inside class, I used English. Stop talking was not possible for me, and I still remember some of those incredible videos, which made me laugh more than the others, for inexplicable reasons.
Travelling abroad has always been a wish, far from reality. The end.
Choosing International Relations was not my original plan; that included at least 3 Language graduations plus Biology and some other course, which I kept changing. But then, people could say they saw me as diplomat when I was only 5, and during my vestibular year, I was almost putting Language, when light came to my mind, or I’d rather say, light was PUT in my mind, and I tried for I.R., with no idea of what to do next, and still in this state.
I have b-side plans, which currently are joining a band and making a musical. For making I say acting, singing and dancing. The only problems are my lack of acting, singing and dancing classes. A pianistic career was a b-side plan during some time in the past, but now buried. A-side plans currently unavailable.
My first contact with serious English studies was not natural; I was obliged to study it. Then, it gradually flooded my life; I can’t separate the English-less life of the English life. Right now, English is part of my life, of my way of living. I don’t think it as an addition to my curriculum, as I see no other language I may talk in the near future.
Difficulties always existed and exist, but I think fluency is a major problem, as of my non-experienced trips, which demands full-time use of English, in some place like the United Kingdom, Ireland, or New Zealand, my favourites-dreamed destinations. Regarding my poor condition, nothing is being done to change this situation, as I have other priorities, which I prefer to call necessities, i.e. eating and dressing.
Thanks for the patience,
Caio.
P.S. That is a very brief description of what is me, with hopes of this being helpful when choosing a gift for me. I must say I also like agreeable books, not those academic. Music is also welcomed, the same for movies. Gardening is one of my hobbies, as for playing piano. If there is a piano available, please contact. I also love P.S.’s."
Espero que isso seja suficiente. E que esteja bem. Apesar de todos os aborrecimentos dos últimos dois dias, estou melhor agora; o árabe começa amanhã!!!
Beijo de boa noite.
